CEO/ Managing Director
YOUNG creates flexible, design-led workspaces across Europe. Currently in a turnaround phase, this role focuses on stabilizing, restructuring, and rebuilding the business.
The Role
As Managing Director / CEO, you will take full ownership of a business currently operating in the red and lead it toward profitability and sustainable international growth.
This is a hands-on, high-accountability role for someone who has operated in crisis or restructuring environments before.
Key Responsibilities
Full ownership of P&L, cash flow and profitability
Stabilize and fill key locations in the Netherlands
Restructure teams, priorities and operations where needed
Lead the integration of a 6-location merge in Seville
Drive occupancy, margins and operational discipline
Build a solid base for future scaling without repeating past mistakes
Requirements
Senior leadership profile with a strong fixer / owner mindset
Proven experience in turnaround or restructuring situations
Background in multi-location businesses (coworking, hospitality, retail, flexible real estate)
Strong financial and operational focus (cash, margins, occupancy)
Comfortable making tough, sometimes unpopular decisions
Able to operate under pressure and ambiguity
Conditions
Full-time role with on-site presence in the Netherlands
Initial market-aligned salary, scaled during the first 6–12 months
Long-term compensation aligned with performance
Equity participation in YOUNG Workspaces offered after ~6 months, based on execution and alignment
